When creating folders and editing designs or images in Canva, be mindful of who you are sharing your projects and data with.
⚠️ Items shared with top-level Canva Teams including the main University of Massachusetts Amherst Faculty & Staff or University of Massachusetts Amherst Students Teams will appear under Shared with you for everyone in those groups – e.g. all faculty/staff or all students with Canva access.
Share folders, designs, and images only with people who need access – either specific individuals or Groups – rather than sharing with everyone in these Teams.
Teams are the highest level of organizational structure in Canva. At UMass Amherst, all faculty/staff and all students using Canva are members of one of two teams – University of Massachusetts Amherst Faculty & Staff or University of Massachusetts Amherst Students.
Groups in Canva allow you to easily share items with a preset group of collaborators – ideal for teams of coworkers, classmates, and others. Create and manage Groups in Settings.
Folders and Designs can be shared with individuals, groups, or teams.
Images are shared with everyone who has access to the folder or design they are added to.
To control who can see and access images you use in Canva, check the sharing permissions on the folder they are uploaded to.

You can hide designs you don’t need, including designs that are shared with a group or team you’re a member of. From the Projects page:
To see designs you've hidden, either open them again via the link you received when they were shared with you, or navigate to a folder that contains the design.
Once you open a design that you had previously hidden, it will appear again in Projects and Recent designs. More information
