Troubleshoot Issues with Images in Canvas when using Safari on Mac, iPhone, and iPad


Instructure, the publisher of Canvas is aware of issues with display of images in the Safari browser on Mac, iPhone, and iPad devices. Canvas users may occasionally be unable to view images when using Safari.

Troubleshooting

We recommend using the Canvas mobile app, a desktop web browser other than Safari (such as Firefox or Chrome), or following the steps below.

Safari on Mac OS
  1. At the top of the screen, in the Menu bar, click Safari, then Settings (or Preferences), and then Privacy.
  2. Click Manage Website Data.
  3. Select Canvas from the list
  4. Click Remove.
  5. Click Done.
Safari on iPhone/iPad
  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on Apps
  3. Scroll down and tap on Safari
  4. Set Hide IP Address to Off
