Microsoft 365 is available to UMass Amherst students, faculty, staff, and departments. Desktop apps may not be available to all staff and departments. For more information about eligibility and availability, see the Microsoft 365 Service Description.

1. (If applicable) Uninstall any Office trial versions on your device before installing Office 365 Education.
2. Navigate to m365.cloud.microsoft/apps in your web browser and sign in using:
   • Username: NetID@umass.edu
     Note that this may be different from your primary UMass Amherst email address.
     
   • Password: SPIRE password
3. Select Apps from the menu on the left panel.
4. Click Install Apps in the upper right and then select Microsoft 365 apps.
5. Wait for the download to finish, and then run the downloaded installer.
