All students who were previously enrolled at UMass Amherst in an undergraduate degree program and who plan to re-enroll after a period of non-enrollment should file the re-enrollment application on Spire.

Carefully read the eligibility requirements. Read the confirmation statement and only if you are eligible to use the re-enrollment application, check the confirmation box and click the Next button on the bottom right.
Choose the correct enrollment options:
Click Next.
Review the contact information on file:
Click Next.
Choose your current residency status regarding your US citizenship.
Click Next.
If you attended any other colleges during the time of your break from UMass Amherst, include information about the college including the name, location, duration, credits earned, and degree earned.
If you did attend any college(s), please mail the transcript(s) to UMass Amherst at:

or email them to elcolts@admissions.umass.edu.
Once you have added all the information, click Next.
Fill out truthfully information about any disciplinary violations and felony convictions.
If you answered “yes” to any of the questions, attach relevant documents explaining the circumstances. You can attach documents by clicking the Attach Supporting Documents button and you can upload any files on your device.
After finalizing all information, check the Signed under the penalties of perjury checkbox.
Click Next.
Read the terms and conditions and check the box at the bottom. Be aware that you must pay a $60 nonrefundable re-enrollment fee that will be charged to your account.
If you are a US Citizen who was on an approved Military/Active-Duty Withdrawal, you are eligible to waive your application fee if the documentation of the original military orders is submitted.
Once you have finalized all the information, click the Submit button on the bottom left to submit your application. Applications will be processed in the order received.
NOTE: Click on the Save Progress button on the bottom left to save any new changes made and you can come back to filling out the application at another time.
NOTE: If you want to edit any information on the previous sections, either click on the Prev button on the bottom right or scroll to the desired section and click on the title to reveal the information.
