Adobe Products: Access for Students
- Students can access Adobe products at no cost by visiting the Learning Commons in the W.E.B. Du Bois Library or the Science and Engineering Library in the Lederle Graduate Research Center in-person during normal hours of operation.
- Adobe products are available for students that take courses utilizing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Access to Adobe apps will be granted only if it is required for coursework.
- Graduate students with an active GEO-eligible appointment who have a valid university-use case can request a Adobe Creative Cloud license.
- Students who need Adobe Creative Cloud as part of their student job can be given access only via a Student-Employee Subsidiary Account.
Discounts Available for Adobe Purchases
Undergraduate students and non-GEO graduate students can purchase discounted licenses through Adobe's Students and Teachers Program.
IMPORTANT!
- Students should use a non-UMass email as the account login when purchasing a discounted Adobe license.
- Using a UMass Amherst email for account login may prevent you from accessing your purchased license due to the pre-existing campus agreement that excludes undergraduate students.
Back Up Adobe Cloud Content
Starting February 1, 2024, Adobe announced they will discontinue the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop synchronization service and the folder and file sharing capabilities of Creative Cloud Synced files. Any files in the Creative Cloud Files local folder will no longer be copied to cloud storage, and files copied to cloud storage will be deleted. UMass Amherst IT strongly recommends that all Adobe users back up content stored in the Adobe Creative Cloud as soon as possible. See this UMass Amherst IT Knowledge Base article.
