Currently, two-step login systems used at UMass Amherst can be configured to use mobile app notifications, codes received via SMS, or codes received via phone call.
Other options are available for university members who cannot use a mobile device or phone.

Two-step login systems used at UMass Amherst can be configured to use codes received via phone call, SMS, or physical security tokens.
Contact an IT administrator in your area or IT User Services for help with a physical security token.
Setting up multiple authentication methods helps avoid problems due to lost or unavailable devices.
If you need to log in and do not have access to any of your authentication devices, please contact IT User Services for assistance.
If you have lost your authentication device, remove it from the list of enrolled devices at mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info as soon as possible.

Not necessarily. Speed up your login experience by selecting Remember Me for 30 days when logging in on personal devices. You may still need to complete the two-step login process on other devices or applications.
