To connect to the eduroam wireless network, you must first configure your device(s). Once your device is configured, you will connect to eduroam automatically on this and other eduroam member campuses.
What you will need before connecting
Before attempting to connect to eduroam, be sure that you:
If you need wifi to start, connect to the UMASS network.
Your device’s operating system should already be selected upon arriving at the setup wizard portal. If not, select the “Select Your Device” drop-down menu and choose the appropriate system.
Click “JoinNow.”
Click “Save" to download the .exe file for the “SecureW2 JoinNow” application
Double-click the downloaded file to begin installing the application.
On the user account control prompt, click “Yes.”
On the authentication prompt, enter your IT Account NetID and password and click “Next.”
Once the configuration process is complete, click “Done.” Your device's wireless icon will now display a connection to eduroam.

Click “JoinNow.” Your browser will now begin downloading the “SecureW2 JoinNow” application.
Open the .dmg file in your “Downloads” folder and double-click the SecureW2 JoinNow application.
On the warning prompt, click “Open.”
On the authentication prompt, enter your IT Account NetID and password and click “Ok.”
As the configuration process continues, you may be prompted to enter your Apple computer’s admin username and password. If so, fill out the respective fields and select "Ok."
Once the configuration process is complete, click “Done.” The wireless icon will display a connection to eduroam.

Connect with iPhone or iPad devices (iOS 8 & newer)
Your device’s operating system should already be selected upon arriving at the setup wizard portal. If not, select the “Select Your Device” drop-down menu and choose the appropriate system.
Enter your NetID username and password, and select “JoinNow.”
When prompted with “This website is trying to download a configuration profile,” select “Allow.”
Open the Settings app. Tap General, then scroll down and tap Profile. Tap on the downloaded profile, and then tap Install in the upper right corner.
Select “Install” at the following screen and enter your device's passcode when prompted.
Select "Install" once again after being brought back to the previous screen.
After the installation process finishes, select “Done.” Your device should now be connected to the eduroam wireless network.
If you are not automatically connected to the eduroam network, please select it manually from the list of available networks and connect.
If your device is still not connected to eduroam, go to “Settings” and tap “Wi-Fi.” Disable and then enable “Wi-Fi” by selecting the slider, then select "eduroam" from your list of available networks.
You should see a "Welcome" screen with your operating system already selected. If not, select the “Select Your Device” drop-down menu and choose the appropriate system.
Select “Inline Install” from the drop-down menu and click “Install.”
When prompted with a request to add “JoinNow MultiOS,” select “Add.”
Enter your IT Account NetID and password and click “Download.”
A new browser tab will open as the "SecureW2.onc" file downloads. Select the new tab.
Click "Choose File" and select the downloaded "SecureW2.onc" file.
Click "Open" to load the file.
Go to your ChromeBook Settings and select "Internet Connection."
Select "eduroam" and click "Connect." Your device will now connect with the eduroam netwrok.
