DocuSign Setup Guide & Support Information

Activate your account

If you have never logged into DocuSign, you need to activate your account by following the instructions below.
Note: DocuSign accounts are free for faculty and staff under the enterprise license obtained by the university. 

  1. To activate your new DocuSign account, go to account.docusign.com.
  2. On the first screen, enter your email address in the format "NetID@umass.edu" and click Continue.

  3. On the next screen, log in with your regular NetID and password.

Log in to DocuSign

Once you have activated your DocuSign account, you may log into DocuSign via one of three ways:

DocuSign Login Screen

  1. In a browser, navigate to account.docusign.com
  2. On the first screen, enter your email address in the format "NetID@umass.edu" and click Continue.  
    Note: Please do not use your departmental email address. This may result in you creating a personal, free account, which will be limited in function and not associated the university.

  1. On the next screen, log in with your regular NetID and password.

  1. Once logged in, you should see the UMass Logo with your profile picture on the top right of the page.

  1. If you have already activated your DocuSign account, log in with your regular NetID and password through the university SSO portal.

DocuSign’s Homepage

  1. In a browser, navigate to the DocuSign Homepage
  2. Click "Log In" in the upper-right corner of the screen, then follow the log in steps listed in the previous "How to Activate Your Account" section.

Access UMass Amherst IT DocuSign training materials

To access the official training materials used by UMass Amherst IT during DocuSign workshops:

  1. Log out of any personal Google account you may be using.
     Note: You will not be able to access any of these materials while logged in under a personal account. 
  2. Go to apps.umass.edu and log in with your NetID and Password
  3. Navigate to the UMass DocuSign Training Google Drive
  4. Choose your presentation containing pre-recorded video training
