Printing Instructions
- Upload files to print and configure options at uprint.umass.edu, or email your files to uprint@umass.edu from your UMass Amherst email address.
Detailed instructions below. - Go to a UPrint enabled print release station and tap your UCard.
- Select your print job on the terminal.
- Pick up your printout from the printer.
How to Email Files to Print
- Open your email program and create a new email from your UMass Amherst address.
- In the To field, enter uprint@umass.edu.
- Attach your file and click Send.
- Wait for the confirmation email.
- Go to the printer.
- Tap (or swipe, where available) your UCard at the print release station.
- Select your print job to finish the printing process.
Note: The following file types are allowed:
Microsoft Excel: xlam, xls, xlsb, xlsm, xlsx, xltm, xltx
Microsoft PowerPoint: pot, potm, potx, ppam, pps, ppsm, ppsx, ppt, pptm, pptx
Microsoft Word: doc, docm, docx, dot, dotm, dotx, rtf, txt
PDF: pdf
Picture files: bmp, dib, gif, jfif, jif, jpe, jpeg, jpg, png, tif, tiff XPS xps.
UPrint-Enabled Printer Locations
Note: Only grayscale printing is available in Integrative Learning Center (ILC), Furcolo, and Springfield Copy Center at this time.
Grayscale, color, and copy/scan capabilities are available at all other locations.
Grayscale print release stations cannot process color print jobs.

Upload Files & Configure Print Options
Note: The UPrint portal is only available for devices on the campus network.
To access the UPrint portal via the campus network from off campus, connect to the university Virtual Private Network (VPN) service.
- In your web browser, navigate to uprint.umass.edu.
- Click Sign in with Microsoft and enter your NetID and password.
- Go to Web Print and click Submit a Job. Select the appropriate print queue for the type of printing you need:

- eds-pcprint\UPrint-(B&W) (virtual) for single-sided grayscale printing
- eds-pcprint\UPrint-(B&W-Duplex) (virtual) for double-sided grayscale printing
- eds-pcprint\UPrint-(Color) (virtual) for single-sided color printing
- eds-pcprint\UPrint-(Color-Duplex) (virtual) for double-sided color printing.
Then, click on Print Options and Account Selection.
- Enter the number of copies needed and click Upload Documents.
- Drag your files into the upload box or click on Upload from Computer.
When all files are uploaded, click on Upload & Complete.
Your print jobs are now in the print queue waiting to be released at a print station.
- To submit additional print jobs, click on Submit a Job and repeat the steps from above.
- When done, log out of the UPrint service by clicking on your netid@umass.edu in the upper right corner and select log out.
- Go to the printer.
- Tap (or swipe, where available) your UCard at the print release station.
- Select your print job to finish the printing process.

Eligibility, Pricing, and Payment
- Available for the entire community
On-campus printing via UPrint is available to all UMass Amherst community members including students, faculty, staff, and campus guests.
- 100 free printouts per semester for students
Each graduate and undergraduate student receives a $5 credit (equivalent to 100 pages of grayscale letter-sized printouts) per semester.
- Pay with your UCard or a Guest Card
