CAPS - Overview


CAPS, the Class Automated Proposal System, is the online class scheduling system built in SPIRE by IT in collaboration with the University Registrar’s office and academic departments. This system completely replaces the cumbersome paper process that the academic departments used previously to coordinate scheduling needs with the Course and Classroom Management (CCM) group.

CAPS is a one-stop SPIRE interface where department Scheduling Representatives can manage all of their communications with the CCM group.  CAPS automatically keeps records of all requests, updates, questions, answers, and comments. In CAPS, Scheduling Representatives can:
