Each Academic, Administrative and Service department on campus identifies an individual who is responsible for communicating that department’s phone and data needs to UMass IT Network Communications. The Network Communications Representative (NetCom Rep) serves as a liaison with Network Communications by submitting the department requests. The NetCom Rep also receives notifications from Network Communications which may affect the services of that department. Each NetCom Rep is assigned to a NetCom Customer Service Rep, so the NetCom Rep will have a single point of contact at Network Communications to whom any questions can be directed.
