Add an iClicker Block in Moodle


Information for Instructors

In order to receive credit for clicker participation, students need to associate the unique serial number on the back of their iClicker remotes with their name and IT NetID by logging into Moodle and registering their remote’s serial number in the iClicker Block of one of their Moodle courses (the serial number will carry through all of their Moodle courses).

Important: Let your students know that registration should be done through Moodle. Do not use the iClicker online database registration through iClicker.com.

Add an iClicker Block in Moodle

To add an iClicker block to your Moodle course page:

  1. Go to the Moodle Log-in page: https://moodle.umass.edu and log in to Moodle.
  2. Enter your NetID (IT account user name) and password and click Login. The Moodle Home screen opens.
  3. In the Navigation block, under My courses, select the course that you want to integrate with iClicker.
  4. Click Turn editing on (top, right).
  5. Under Add a block (bottom, right), click the Add... drop-down menu and select iClicker. An iClicker block is created on your course homepage.
