SSO (single sign-on) refers to a group of technologies that allows you to log in to a variety of web applications using the same interface (and in some cases, to reduce the number of times you need to log in). At UMass Amherst, you will be prompted for your IT account NetID and password to access IT and non-IT services, such as Moodle, Apps at UMass Amherst, Box at UMass Amherst, Email, Library catalogs, or Parking Services.
UMass Amherst uses both Shibboleth and Microsoft Azure AD for SSO authentication.
