Stata is a general-purpose statistical software package developed by StataCorp for data manipulation, visualization, statistics, and automated reporting. It is used by researchers in many fields, including biomedicine, economics, epidemiology, and sociology.
STATA is available to UMass Amherst community members with the listed relationships and/or reasons for need.

**STATA can only be installed on a University Owned and Managed Device
STATA can be requested by filling out the Software Licensing Form. Allow 2-3 business days for your request to be processed.
Please note that there is a very limited number of Core-2, Core-4, and Core-8 versions of STATA. These versions are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after each renewal period. The renewal of this license occurs each August.
