Important: UMass Amherst will be transitioning from iClicker to Top Hat beginning April 2026. Current users can continue using the iClicker platform until support ends on May 31, 2026. To get started with Top Hat, please see Getting Started with Top Hat for Instructors.
The iClicker Cloud audience response system (ARS) uses a handheld remote to collect student answers to instructor questions. Responses are recorded and shown in real time on the instructor’s computer. iClicker Cloud can provide instant, anonymous feedback or support active learning by awarding participation and performance credit.
iClicker Cloud works with your mobile device (iOS or Android), or can be accessed through a web browser, allowing you to participate during in-class polling sessions. To be able to participate with iClicker Cloud you need an active subscription. A subscription access code can be purchased as a bundle with an iClicker model 2 through the eCampus online store (instructors will provide the link to the store in SPIRE).
Creating an iClicker Cloud account is free.
Students who purchase an iClicker model 2 through the eCampus online store (instructors will provide the link to the store in SPIRE) will receive a 5-year subscription to the iClicker Cloud polling app which can be redeemed using the enclosed access code.
