UMass Amherst is moving to Canvas. During the transition, you may see your courses in Moodle and Blackboard, or see them listed in Canvas.

To Log into Canvas

Navigate to umass.edu/it/canvas
Select Sign in to Canvas
Enter your NetID and password
Click Sign in
- Authenticate with two-step login if prompted.

To Log Out of Canvas

In the left-hand navigation menu, select Account.
On the Account fly-out, at the top of the menu, select Logout

Find Your Courses

When you first log into Canvas, you will be brought to your Dashboard. In addition to alerts and to-do list, you will see all Canvas courses you have access to, each represented by a Canvas Course Card.

Click the name of the course card to access the course.

Once you download the app, you will be asked for your School Name in order to log in. Search for “amh” or “amherst” to locate University of Massachusetts Amherst.
