In order to integrate iClicker Classic and Moodle you need to add an iClicker block to your Moodle course. You will also need the Security Key provided in the iClicker block to allow the iClicker gradebook to sync with your Moodle grade roster (see Import a Moodle Roster to the iClicker Gradebook).).

Add the iClicker block

  1. Go to the Moodle login page: https://moodle.umass.edu.
  2. Click Login with NetID.
  3. Enter your NetID and password and click the arrow icon. The Moodle Home page opens.
  4. In the My courses block, select the course that you want to integrate with iClicker. The course page opens.
  5. Click Turn editing on (top right).
  6. In the Add a block block (bottom right), click the Add... drop-down menu and select iClicker. An iClicker block is created on your course homepage.

Copy the Single Sign-on Security Key

  1. Go to the Moodle login page: https://moodle.umass.edu.
  2. Click Login with NetID.
  3. Enter your NetID (OIT Account user name) and password and click the arrow icon. The Moodle Home page opens.
  4. In the My courses block, select the course that you want to integrate with iClicker. Note: The Moodle course needs to be available to students to connect to iClicker.
  5. In the iClicker block, click Single Sign-On Security Key. The iClicker Single Sign-On Security Key page opens.
  6. Copy the exact text in the Your Security Key field and paste it in the course settings of your iClicker software (see Import a Moodle Roster to the iClicker Gradebook).
